Brothers,
If you weren't at the Awards Dinner and Past Master's Roast, you missed a good time! Big shout out goes to the emcee of the evening, WB David! As well as JW Don for setting it up and all the presenters for their hilarious speeches. And of course thanks to the brothers (and their partners) for coming together, had a great meal, and politely chuckled at my jokes!
This July marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. That's a big deal. Freemasons were there at the start of the 250 years helping establish the principles the country was founded on. Now we begin the second 250 years and the USA needs us more than ever. It's a relatively short amount of time in the grand scheme, still a relatively young country, one that still needs what Freemasonry offers. Good men are what this country needs to keep thriving and remain the bastion for democracy and freedom.
Speaking of our nation's birthday coming up, it's time for the annual Fourth of July parade! Come march with us in celebration of the USA and of Freemasons. WBs Jim, Zevi, and our Secretary have been hard at work on a float and you don't want to miss it! Big thanks for all the hard work they've put into it.
Let's all meet at the grotto at 9am Saturday morning, and we can carpool and walk together to the start. (Map at the bottom of email)
Dress code: It's going to be hot! So do your best impersonation of a 1960s NASA Mission Control scientist! Short sleeve dress shirts and ties!
Stay tuned for July's Master's table venue!
Hope everyone's summer is off to a good start!
S&F,
Steven
